The shopping cart drawer is a quick way to view and manage the shopping cart, allowing customers to easily see the items they've added without leaving the current page. The cart drawer enhances the user experience, making it easier for customers to continue browsing and shopping.
Enabling the Shopping Cart Drawer:
Go to the template settings, find the cart-related settings, and select the cart type as "drawer."
Enable Display of Recommended Products: By checking this option, recommended products will appear in the cart drawer, increasing cross-selling opportunities and enhancing the shopping experience.
Recommended Product Settings:
You can set which recommended products are displayed in the cart drawer by selecting the "Product List." Click the "Change" button to choose the recommended products you'd like to showcase in the cart drawer.
Recommended products can be set to automatic recommendation, where the system will automatically generate related products.
You can manually adjust related product recommendations in Search & Discovery.
Recommended products are typically items you'd like customers to add to their cart before checkout. These products are often related to the items already in the cart (such as complementary items, bestsellers, etc.).
Common Uses:
Increase Average Order Value: By displaying recommended products in the cart drawer, customers may add more items before checking out, helping to increase your average order value.
Improve User Experience: The cart drawer allows customers to quickly view their cart without leaving the page, while continuing to browse other products, offering a smoother shopping flow.
Usage Suggestions:
The recommended products should be highly relevant to the items already in the customer's cart to increase the success rate of cross-selling.
Set limited-time offers or discounts to encourage customers to add more recommended products to their cart from the cart drawer.
